Every time I’m working in Cayuga Heights, I’m struck by how peaceful it is—big trees, quiet streets, and some of the nicest lawns in Ithaca. I’ve been doing jobs here for years, and it’s always the kind of place where neighbors wave and stop to chat. Folks here really care about their homes and their community.

What Makes Cayuga Heights Special

From the job sites, you see rolling hills, old-growth forests, and even the lake in the distance.

The folks here are mostly families, professors, and retirees.

It’s close enough to Cornell and downtown for an easy commute, but far enough out that it feels like a retreat.

The terrain here is a mix—some flat spots, some steep slopes, and a couple of deep gorges that make for great scenery.

You’ll notice people out walking dogs, gardening, or meeting up at Community Corners. It’s quiet, safe, and everyone seems to know each other.

The Community Corners shopping area is super convenient, and there’s plenty of parking.

We’ve handled everything from new driveways to drainage fixes in Cayuga Heights. The soil is mostly clay loam, so you have to watch for water pooling and runoff. Permits go through the village and usually take a couple weeks. Some lots are steep, so we bring in the right equipment for the job.
